Cemetery & Parks Meeting
February 11,2013

The meeting was opened at 7:05PM
Present were, Ray Boyes, Tubby Boucher, John Barett, Roger Rapoza Sr., and Pam Haman.
Bills were reviewed and approved
January minutes were read and approved.
Articles for Town Meeting were reviewed. A discussion was held on the Tree Cutting Article. Roger will have more information after the managers meeting on 2/12/13.
The Shanley family continures to park vehciels at the entrance to Howard Park.
Department will use the “Transfer of Ownership Form” whenever possible/practical.
Copies of the meeting minutes will be filed with the Town Clerk’s Office. The department will keep the original.
Superintendents Report:
Final approval was given for the removal of trees in the cemeteries.
Level funded budget for next fiscal year. Roger had some concern about paying a cemetery worker without a license the same as a worker with a license.
There have been inquires about the possibility of a barbeque pit in the back of the common due to the fact that cars are no longer allowed on the common. Commissioners felt that it was easy enough to get grills onto the common and that a barbeque pit was not needed.
Reminder that members need to update on ethics training.
Purchase a small pop up tent to use for cremation burials. There would be a $25.00 charge for the use of the tent. Tabled pending further discussion on regulations, usage and fees.
Next meeting is scheduled for March 11, 2014 at 7PM.
